The SILVER STREAK

An unusual fixed blade knife

This Boker Silver Streak skinning knife is pattern number 254. The trademark was electro-stenciled on the blade, leading many modern collectors to mislabel them as fakes.

In the mid 1960s, H. Boker & Company offered a new line of fixed blade hunting knives they called the “Silver Streak”. These sturdy little knives were made of extra heavy gage steel blades. The handles were made of alternating layers of aluminum and black fiber material. Aluminum was still considered an exotic material, and had been used by other cutlery companies such as Western and Imperial to make similar knives.

Boker Silver Streak knives could be purchased with a tooled leather sheath like the one shown above in either natural leather, or dyed black.
